Lukas Scheibler heads the Alliances department at Alcon, Novartis’ Eye Care Division since 2008. The Alliances department is responsible for identification and evaluation of all partnering opportunities, including e.g. early research collaboration as well as M&A opportunities. Selected compelted partnerships include the collaboration with AstraZeneca and the acquisitions of LenSx and ESBATech.

Lukas joined Novartis in 2002 in Regulatory Affairs before becoming the Global Brand Medical Director of Lucentis.

Lukas received a PhD from the University of Lausanne, Swizterland in biophysical chemistry and completed a postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School before joining industry.
